This dual folded surface is a proposed Arts and Culture City Guide for the city of Melbourne. It aims to confidently convey information in a portable format by folding an A2 page and binding it to a thicker small cover.
The primary design element, the typography, is carefully orchestrated on an intricate baseline-oriented grid system; this enables the rhythm of the typography to be enhanced by its overall texture on the page. Each column of text is planned to be read as the large format unravels, finally revealing minimal interpretations of maps containing the approximate location of the venues. The difference in the finish of the two paper stocks further indicates the consideration of durability and tactility.
