Memo Review

Editorial Design,

Supervised by Dan Milne

The following spreads are a proposed editorial design for the periodical Memo Review. The concept reflects the common gallery experience where the neutrality of the interior design lends to the prominence of the artworks. The differentiation is the referencing of artworks from cover to cover by utilising coloured dots; this visual note can be found in the page-furniture of each artist’s section and relates to the cover and contents design. The contents pages use translucent stock to overlay an array of dots and page numbers over the corresponding artwork. The coloured dots also provide tactility with the contrasting spot gloss.
